Burrows Wrecker Service Inc.

The Burrows family has operated Burrows Garage and Wrecker Service in Sligo, KY for 100 years.

It was founded by Ira Burrows and has provided service to the transportation industry since 1917.

Today, Scott Burrows and his Son Casey (the fifth generation) manage a commercial vehicle repair facility as well as a fleet of state of the art towing and recovery vehicles.

Along with the towing and recovery vehicles, Burrows owns auxiliary equipment and vehicles to support even the most extreme vehicle and equipment recovery scenarios.

Our Business

The need to maintain current with industry best practices, safe operations, and more efficient methods is a top priority at Burrows. For that reason, we make a substantial investment in the continuing education of our operators and technicians.

The majority of our employees have emergency service backgrounds and are well versed in the methods and terminology of the municipal first responder.

Each employee holds at least two nationally recognized certifications pertaining to the towing and recovery industry. These certifications require continuing education and testing to maintain.

Employees are also required to submit to random drug testing. This policy helps to ensure a drug free workplace and supports the values of the corporation.

Who We Are

The daily operation at Burrows Garage and Wrecker Service consists of truck repair and heavy duty towing. However, each employee stands ready to work as a team or individually with the very best equipment and knowledge available to tackle even the most challenging and out of the ordinary jobs.

We plan to serve the transportation industry and many others well beyond our 100th anniversary.
